Will you have individual cuts available?

We will have individual retail cuts of lamb available for purchase beginning in December 2024. They will be available to order online for local pick-up and shipping, and will be available at local holiday markets in Iowa City and Mount Vernon.

Do you offer half shares of lamb?

The best way to get a half lamb share is to find a friend who will split one with you. Send us an email at info@lambsquarter.com if you'd like a half share and we can accommodate this if we have an even number of people interested in half shares.

When will lamb shares be ready?

Whole lamb shares will be ready for pick up on Saturday, November 23rd. If you are unable to pick up your share on this day, contact us to schedule an alternate arrangement.

How do I get my lamb share?

Whole lamb shares are only available for local pick-up at this time. Pick-up will be in Mount Vernon, Iowa on Saturday, November 23rd. Retail cuts will be available to ship or pick up locally beginning in December 2024.

How much freezer space do I need for a whole lamb share?

Whole lamb shares range from 45-65# and your freezer space needs will vary depending on the size of your lamb. Typically, a whole lamb share fits in a standard home freezer if it begins empty. If you have a chest freezer, reserve at least 1/3 of it for your lamb.

What if I place my deposit for a whole lamb share now but am not able to follow through with my reservation?

Your reservation deposit for a whole lamb share is non-refundable. However, we can transfer your reservation to another person if you are able to find a committed customer to take it. In addition, if we have a waitlist for whole lamb shares we can transfer your reservation and issue payment back to you, minus a 10% convenience fee.
